Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a cognitive-behavioral counseling program that combines education, group and individual counseling, and structured exercises. These classes are designed to foster moral development in treatment-resistant clients. MRT is shown to reduce recidivism rates of offenders between 30% and 50% for periods of up to 20 years post release. These programs have been utilized successfully in all 50 states.
Classes offered at SCORE by our certified MRT Instructors include:
In addition to MRT classes, SCORE also hosts self-help meetings on site, like sanctioned A.A. and N.A. classes, in order to ensure that clients have a variety of tools available to them for continued success after graduating.
In addition to the evidence-based programs offered at SCORE, there are also a host of faith-based programs available to clients. Volunteers from local churches as well as Interfaith Jail Ministries provide on-site worship and educational services to clients who view religion as a personal strength.
